About Ryan
Ryan received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design and 3-D Animation from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He has worked in the industry for the past twelve years and has a tremendous amount of experience in several different fields.
Ryan began his career in 2010 with a small direct mail firm called Political Ink. Working along side a senior designer, Ryan was quickly exposed to working under tight deadlines, late hours, and a demand for quality work. The work centered around political campaigns, ranging from small local campaigns to large scale Congressional and Senate races. With a few campaign seasons under his belt, Ryan’s quick learning and growth as a designer helped him transition to a litigation consulting firm called RLM | TrialGraphix, working as a Media Artist.
While working in the Alexandria, Virginia office of RLM | TrialGraphix, Ryan worked closely with attorneys to help create demonstratives that acted as visual solutions to complex concepts and legal arguments. He worked on numerous cases involving patent, pharmaceutical and civil litigation. In addition to creating these pieces prior to trial, Ryan would also travel, working closely with his coworkers and clients during the duration of a court case. Ryan gained imperative interpersonal skills while working at RLM | TrialGraphix that he continues to carry throughout his career and lead to his most recent role at Lockton Companies, a global insurance broker.
Ryan began working at Lockton Companies in August of 2015 as a Communications Specialist, working specifically with the Employee Benefits Practice. As the lead designer, Ryan was responsible for all client communication for the Benefits team. The work included pieces such as Employee Benefits Guides, Postcards, Wellness Brochures and Presentations. Each client presented individual needs and obstacles, resulting in unique and strategic designs.
Recently, Ryan has been a vital member of the marketing team at Fonteva, a Salesforce based software company. The work focuses on delivering highly configurable membership, events, and eCommerce applications that can easily integrate with other business solutions. Ryan supported the marketing and sales teams by maintaining external and internal brand consistency, with a heavy concentration in presentations, print collateral, and booth designs.
Over the past ten years, Ryan has gained valuable knowledge and experience from these positions and is eager to continue growing as a designer.
